Vision - இலக்கம் (இலக்கு /முன்நோக்கம் /தொலைநோக்கம்)
- பழந்தமிழ் இலக்கண, இலக்கியச் செழுமையை எதிர்காலத் தலைமுறைக்கு எடுத்துச்செல்வது.
- தமிழர் நாகரிக, பண்பாட்டு வாழ்வை இக் கால மாந்தரும் உணரும் வண்ணம் இலக்கிய ஆய்வை மேம்படுத்துவது.
- ‘யாதும் ஊரே, யாவரும் கேளிர்’ என்பதற்கொப்பத் தமிழ்மொழிப் புலமையைக் கணினி / இணையவழி மேம்படுத்தி உலக இலக்கியங்களுடன் ஒப்பாய்வு செய்வது.
Mission - இயக்கம் (செயலாக்கம் / செயல் திட்டம்)
- தமிழ் இலக்கியப் பயிற்சியின் வாயிலாகப் பொறுப்பான குடிமக்களை உருவாக்குதல்.
- தமிழர் நாகரிக வளர்ச்சியை அறிந்து வாழ்வியல் திறன்களை மாணவர்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்துதல்.
- பிறமொழி இலக்கியங்களின்பால் ஆர்வத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி ஒப்பீட்டு ஆய்வுக்கு வழிவகுத்தல்.
- எழுத்து, சொல், பொருள் இலக்கணம் தேர்ந்து மரபிலக்கியங்களை ஆராயவும், படிநிலை வளர்ச்சிகளில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள முற்போக்குச் சிந்தனைகளை மேம்படுத்தவும் ஆய்வுக்கோட்பாடுகளை உருவாக்கவுமான திறன்களை வளர்த்தல்.
Objectives - குறிக்கோள்கள்
- மாணவர்களிடையே தாய்மொழி கற்றல்திறனை மேம்படுத்துதல்.
- பிழையறப் பேசவும் எழுதவுமான மொழி ஆளுமையை உருவாக்குதல்.
- மரபுவழியில் புத்திலக்கியம் படைக்கவும், திறனாய்வு மேற்கொள்ளவுமான திறன்களை வளர்த்தல்.
- புனைவிலக்கியப் போக்குகளை அறிந்து ஆராயவும், மேலை, கீழை நாட்டு இலக்கியத் தாக்கங்களால் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள புதுவகை இலக்கியங்களைத் திறனாய்வு செய்யவுமான ஆற்றல்களை வளர்த்தல்.
- கல்வெட்டு, தொல்லியல் துறைகளில் ஆர்வத்தைத் தூண்டிக் கள ஆய்வு, களப் பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளும் வழிவகை ஏற்படுத்துதல்.
- பண்டைய மூவேந்தர், வேளிர் வரலாறுகளை இலக்கியச் சான்றுகளுக்குத் துணைபுரியும் தொல்லியல் சான்றுகளுடன் நிறுவப் பயிற்சி அளித்தல்

- மிகச் சிறந்த பேச்சுத் திறனையும் எழுத்துத் திறனையும் பெறுவதன் வாயிலாக எந்தப் போட்டித் தேர்வையும், நேர்முகத் தேர்வையும் மாணவர் எளிதில் வெற்றி காண்பர்.
- தமிழர்தம் மேம்பட்ட நாகரிக, பண்பாட்டு ஒழுகலாறுகளை அறிந்துகொள்வதனால் மாணவர்கள் தம் வாழ்வில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் எந்தச் சிக்கலுக்கும் எளிதில் தீர்வு காண்பர்.
